Everyone, FYI: This place has interesting WWII history as a training base for CPT (Civilian pilot training) program.
Run by one of the Northfield colleges. Lots of info on the internet if anyone is interested.

Historic Stanton Airfield is a privately-owned, public-use airport located 35 miles south of the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport on Highway 19, halfway between Northfield and Cannon Falls. Pilots from all over the Midwest come to Stanton for the nostalgic feel, open skies, friendly atmosphere and to experience some of the greatest grass runway flying in the Midwest.
We are home to the Minnesota Soaring Club, Twin City Barnstormers, and Stanton Squadron of Civil Air Patrol.

Stanton Airfield is a privately owned/public use airfield. A corporation was formed in 1991 by local pilots and tenants utilizing the airfield and shares were sold. In fact, shares are available to anyone interested in owning a part. The airfield is privately owned and we receive no assistance from the township, county or state.
Since we receive no assistance, we have difficulty generating funds to make necessary repairs on the building; therefore, we are using this event as a fundraising event for the airfield and the Civil Air Patrol squadron based here.
Unfortunately, our aerobatic performers were unable to get the FAA waiver; therefore, the airshow will not take place. Since this is a fly-in, we hope that some unique aircraft will arrive and be on display. There will be a glider operation taking place during the event in addition to the various aircraft landing and taking off. We have a couple of bands scheduled to play and food will be available.
If we know in advance how many and what types of equipment you are able to display, we can set aside an area for your group. We are in a position to offer those of your members who bring vehicles and equipment a complimentary meal.
Any donations of items, services or monies for the raffle or silent auction are tax deductible through the Friends.
I have included some links below that may help to explain what and who we are plus our event flyer. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to give me a call.
